61.80

案僧亮曰：譬緣覺自悟，小勝聲聞也。僧宗曰：緣覺也。言觀方已去者，其比於聲聞，根力為勝。雖不向佛，以斷習而侵三界外惑，故義言去也。

Sengliang comments: "This illustrates the pratyekabuddha who awakens by himself, slightly superior to the śrāvaka." Sengzong comments: "This is the pratyekabuddha. Saying that 'having looked in the directions, they depart' means that compared to the śrāvaka, their faculties and power are superior. Although they do not head toward Buddhahood, by severing residual conditioning and infringing upon delusions outside the three realms, it is meaningfully said that they 'depart.'"
