案僧亮曰：合譬之意，意在不偏必有利益，廣弘一燈之化者應先教也。

Sengliang notes: The point of applying the metaphor is that, while having no partiality, there must be benefit: one who broadly propagates the transformation of a single lamp should be taught first.
