案僧亮曰：空無現相，而得言眾生有現在用。佛性亦爾，雖非現有，而現在眾生亦得有用也。

Sengliang comments: Empty space has no present characteristic, yet it can be said that sentient beings have its present function. The buddhadhātu is also like this: although it does not presently exist, present sentient beings also come to have its function.
