案僧亮曰：若有內外，則非一也。若有分數，則非常也。內無外、外無中、中無內，豈曰遍耶？

Sengliang comments: If it had an inside and an outside, it would not be a unity. If it had parts, it would not be permanent. The inside would lack the outside, the outside would lack the middle, and the middle would lack the inside—how could it be called omnipresent?
