Extensive explanation of controversies, twenty headings in all: First, explaining the teaching of immeasurable names for a single named phenomenon, immeasurable names for a single meaning, immeasurable names for immeasurable meanings, down to explaining conventional truth within the ultimate truth, etc.; not preaching five kinds of Dharma for five kinds of persons, namely not praising giving to the stingy, etc.; extensive explanation of the circumstance of telling the Demon King that he would enter nirvāṇa after three months; second, explaining the controversy over self and non-self; third, explaining whether there is an intermediate existence or no intermediate existence; fourth, explaining the controversy over whether there is regression or no regression; fifth, explaining whether the Tathāgata is conditioned or unconditioned.
