64.28

案僧亮曰：上一名說無量名廣略等義，應根說法，福處未了，況餘人乎。僧宗曰：以如來隨人隨時根不同，說法亦異，謂知根力也。

Sengliang comments: The above meanings—expressing limitless names for a single name, extensive and concise, and so forth—preach the Dharma in adaptation to faculties. Even one in a state of merit has not fully comprehended them, how much less anyone else! Sengzong comments: Because the Tathāgata adapts to the varying faculties of different persons at different times, his preaching of the Dharma is also different; this refers to the power of knowing faculties.
