案僧亮曰：因與果會，是名期也。何者？善必福應、惡必禍應，克無差也。此明業果不斷。答問名也。

Sengliang comments: The convergence of cause and effect is called expectation. Why? Good must meet with the response of blessing, and evil must meet with the response of calamity, unfailingly without deviation. This clarifies that karma and fruit are uninterrupted. It answers the question about the name.
