65.36

案僧亮曰：言四大是假，為實法所造。色等實法非造，佛說造造，四大亦造色，譬如束竹相扶得立。上二家偏執，皆不得佛意也。

Sengliang states: Saying that the four great elements are provisional, produced by real phenomena. Real phenomena such as form are not produced. The Buddha spoke of producing what is produced, and the four great elements also produce form, like a bundle of reeds supporting each other to stand. The one-sided attachments of the above two schools both fail to grasp the Buddha's intent.
