65.78

案僧亮曰：信等五根能斷煩惱也。眾生二種，有愛多、有見多。而愛多者，於二說生疑，若從善友，必能生信以斷疑也。

Sengliang comments: The five faculties of faith and so forth can sever afflictions. Sentient beings are of two kinds: those with abundant craving and those with abundant views. Those with abundant craving generate doubts regarding the two teachings; if they follow a good friend, they can certainly generate faith to sever doubt.
