案僧亮曰：有義自分別，不假問答者；自有法總義別，須問而後答者。舉如來誠旨以為釋也。

Sengliang states: "Some meanings are self-evident without needing question and answer; others have a general phenomenon with distinct meanings that must be questioned before being answered. He cites the Tathāgata's authentic intent as the explanation."
