67.36

案僧亮曰：佛意不惡，名隨他意也。僧宗曰：世間所說，佛亦隨說名，名隨自他。若非是理，隨他而說，是名隨他也。寶亮曰：應釋人根，非究竟之說，名隨他語也。

Sengliang comments: The Buddha's intent is not displeased; this is called following others' intent. Sengzong says: What worldly people say, the Buddha also says following them; this is called following oneself and others. If it is not the true principle, yet he speaks in accordance with others, this is called following others. Baoliang says: Accommodating individuals' faculties without being the definitive teaching is called speaking in accordance with others.
