69.48

案僧亮曰：十時者，出胎名現在，未生名未來。終不漸長者，不念念滅也。內外各二者，內則飢渴，外則寒熱，觀壞苦也。無常器，即是行，觀行苦也。

Sengliang comments: The ten periods: emergence from the womb is called the present; not yet being born is called the future. "Never growing gradually" means not perishing moment by moment. Internal and external each have two: internally hunger and thirst, externally cold and heat; this contemplates the suffering of change. A vessel of impermanence is conditioned activity; this contemplates the suffering of conditioned existence.
