案僧亮曰：無則無多非所求也。僧宗曰。雖知終當圓說，即時唯可偏教，故云不敢多有求也。

Sengliang comments: In non-existence, there is no 'much' that is not sought. Sengzong says: Although he knew that he would ultimately expound the complete teaching, at that moment he could only offer the partial teaching; therefore it is said that he 'does not dare to ask for much'.
