案僧亮曰：除煩惱之無，同於已滅之無。已滅非常，何得獨稱常耶？

Sengliang states: "The non-existence of eliminating defilements is identical to the non-existence of what has already ceased. What has already ceased is not permanent; how can it be uniquely designated as permanent?"
