70.75

案僧亮曰：救義云百燈同室，明遍而炷不遍。不可以明遍，責炷亦應遍也。百人百我，我雖遍，而法非法不遍。

Sengliang states: Defending his thesis, he says that when a hundred lamps share a room, the light is all-pervading while the wicks are not all-pervading. One cannot, because the light is all-pervading, demand that the wicks should also be all-pervading. A hundred persons have a hundred ātmans; although the ātman is all-pervading, dharma and non-dharma are not all-pervading.
