8.100

案僧宗曰：說問既竟，將自收退也。諸陰者，上至諸佛，下及眾生人天五道也。夫聖教不同，斯旨甚深，乃是未達，理應諮問。但情淺智劣，不敢有諮。豈唯我所不敢，乃至精進八住以上、具三不退，亦非境界，是以息問也。

Sengzong states: Having finished asking his questions, he is about to withdraw himself. "All aggregates" reaches above to all Buddhas and down to the five destinies of sentient beings, humans, and devas. The holy teachings differ, and this purport is extremely profound; being something not yet penetrated, it is reasonable to make inquiry. Yet with shallow feelings and inferior wisdom, he dares not make inquiry. How could it be that only I do not dare? Even those with vigorous progress above the eighth stage endowed with the three non-regressions also find it not to be their sphere; therefore he ceases his questioning.
