9.88

案僧亮曰：凡夫不從經旨取解，喻之抄掠也。法瑤曰：外道盜竊遺餘經法，謂之抄掠也。寶亮曰：雖復受持，捉相心強，多諸雜偽，不得真理。

Sengliang comments: Ordinary people do not derive their understanding from the purport of the sūtras, which is compared to plundering. Fayao says: Heterodox paths steal the remnant sūtras and teachings, which is called plundering. Baoliang says: Although they receive and uphold them, their mind grasping at signs is strong, with many corruptions and falsifications, failing to attain the true principle.
