案道生曰：作醍醐者，本是婦女所能，若從其受，必有成理。今云無者，譬無弘通之近賢聖善友，所以無成。

Daosheng comments: Making ghee was originally something women were capable of; if one received it from them, it would necessarily be accomplished. Now it says 'they had none', illustrating that there are no virtuous friends among the near worthy and noble ones who propagate it, which is why there is no accomplishment.
