Sengliang comments: This broadly explains the marks of the path. 'Able to assist bodhi' explains the fundamental meaning. Bodhi is the governing essence of the path of wisdom, taking faith as its root; having explained this one matter of faith, the rest can be known by analogy. Sengzong says: That 'such sūtras all enter the truth of the path' means that although past expositions may not have been complete, nonetheless none were not the path; it was only in accord with what was appropriate for transforming [beings] that different names were applied.
