Sengzong notes: "He again subsumes all the Dharma approaches into the single conventional truth, which is known by superior wisdom. 'All conditioned factors are impermanent, all dharmas are without self, and nirvāṇa is quiescent cessation' are in turn subsumed under the ultimate truth. To say that impermanence and such practices give rise to authentic understanding in people merely sketches the approach of emptiness. Nirvāṇa is the locus where the former three mental factors are cured and severed; quiescent cessation without arising is the ultimate truth."
