Daosheng notes: "In principle there are no two realities, yet there are two names. If they exist in their marks, two should not be posited; if they are devoid of marks, the two are illusory." Fayao says: "About to clarify that the two truths differ in name but are identical in reality, the reality of the ultimate truth is thus having the reality of the conventional truth, and [the conventional truth] thus has the ultimate truth. Hence it is asked whether the realities of the two truths can mutually exist, not whether the meanings of the two names can mutually exist."
