Sengliang states: The five dharmas assist, reiterating why pure precepts are the cause of nirvāṇa. Because one obtains the assistance of wisdom and the rest, one abandons the five hindrances. Generating the five kinds of nirvāṇa explains why one is endowed with the five dharmas such as faith: attributing the function to wisdom, which can abandon hindrances as well as views and doubts; thus, one who possesses the five faculties attains the five liberations.
