Sengliang notes: Seeing blue where there is no blue, and so forth, all signify that phenomena are not fixed. The reason two Buddhas corroborate each other is to clarify that the characteristics of phenomena are not different, and that the path of the Buddhas is identical. Phenomena are seen from conditions; once seen, they are permanent. The ten titles do not differ, and the wheel of Dharma is also identical. Impermanent lands born of conditions differ in purity and defilement, and the good and evil of sentient beings are likewise different.
