Sengzong states: The preceding four questions clarified the awe-inspiring power of the sūtra, causing those who have not yet generated the mind to become bodhisattvas, capable of being kings of physicians. Although they have not yet attained buddhahood, they are already able to bring benefit in the cause. This clarifies the benefit of fruition: it states that through practice based on the sūtra, one ultimately attains buddhahood, and having attained buddhahood, one is further able to board this great ship of mahānirvāṇa to ferry sentient beings across.
