自下第三請佛哀受。是佛為生，常於惡趣受苦救拔，故今應愍，受我微供。何故此中無佛不受、不果却住？有人釋言「他方客至，故略無之。」當應不然，縱使客至，何妨不受、不果却住？直是經家略不云耳。

From here on, the third [part] requests the Buddha to compassionately accept it. Since this Buddha constantly undergoes suffering and rescues them in the evil destinies for the sake of sentient beings, he should now have pity and accept my slight offering. Why is there no [mention of] the Buddha's non-acceptance and [the host's] remaining unsuccessful and standing back here? Someone explained: 'Because guests arrived from other regions, it was omitted.' This should not be so: even if guests arrived, what would prevent him from not accepting it and their being unsuccessful and standing back? It is simply that the sūtra compiler briefly did not state it.
