就初序中義要有二：一發起序、二證信序。辯此二序略有五門：一釋名義并顯立意、二明兩序名之差別并顯得失、三明二序名之通局、四定二序文之前却、五隨文解釋。

Within the initial introductory section, the essentials of the meaning are twofold: first, the initiating preface; second, the faith-attesting preface. In explaining these two prefaces, there are briefly five approaches: first, explaining the names and meanings along with demonstrating the intent of their establishment; second, clarifying the differences in the names of the two prefaces along with demonstrating their advantages and disadvantages; third, clarifying the broad and narrow scopes of the names of the two prefaces; fourth, determining the precedence and succession of the texts of the two prefaces; fifth, explaining according to the text.
