From here, the second part explains that existence contains nothing to be enjoyed, establishing that the entreaty is improper. "Spoke for Cunda" is the sūtra compiler's general statement; below he properly speaks it, within which there are in total nine and a half verses of text; the first nine broadly explain that the conditioned has many faults, and the final half verse concludes with his own lack of joy. Within the first nine verses, the five faults of impermanence in conditioned dharmas are explained: the first three and a half verses explain their impermanence, the next one verse explains suffering, the next half verse explains emptiness, the next two and a half verses explain non-self, and the following one and a half verses explain impurity.
