In the third entreaty, "Like a hungry person who does not vomit" establishes an analogy to entreat the Buddha. The Buddha constantly contemplates transformation, like a hungry person in the world; wishing that he not abandon us is called "not vomiting." From "May you cause..." downward, he seeks the Buddha in reference to the analogy, wishing that like the hungry person, he not abandon us and enter nirvāṇa.
