In explaining the non-definitive, the text has four distinct parts: first, it brings up past sūtras of non-definitive meaning. "As the sūtras preach" means as preached in the former Hīnayāna sūtras. "All is burned" means that formerly it was preached that the three poisons burn sentient beings, hence it is called "burned," as the text states below; or it may mean that formerly it was preached that the fire of impermanence burns all worlds, hence it is called "burned." Preaching that all dharmas are thus burned by it is why it says "all"; impermanence, suffering, and the like are also of this category. From "This is named..." onwards is the conclusion: because it speaks of "all" without differentiation, it is therefore named non-definitive.
