「是故汝」下大段第三勸捨昔別，於中初先勸捨別相，言「是故」者別相三歸，為度世間方便示故，「不應受持如凡愚人所知三歸」，「汝於大」下勸捨別心。定心捨別，故言「決斷應如剛刀」。

From "therefore you" downward is the third major section, encouraging the relinquishing of the past distinct [marks]. Therein, he first encourages relinquishing distinct marks; saying "therefore" means that the three refuges of distinct marks were expediently shown for the sake of delivering the world; "you should not accept and uphold the three refuges as known by ordinary and foolish people." From "you in the great" downward, he encourages relinquishing the mind of differentiation. Resolutely relinquishing distinction, he therefore says, "the decisive severance should be like a rigid blade."
