4.137

下合顯法。先合初段，「涅槃如是」合前藥樹，「能除一切眾生惡」等合和酪漿，乃至除滅一切諸病，意惡名「內」、身口名「外」，此明滅惡。「諸有未發菩提心」下明能生善，喻中無文，別以論之。「何以故」下合前藥王諸藥中勝，先合、後帖。

Below, it combines [the parable] to reveal the Dharma. First, it combines the first section: "Nirvāṇa is also like this" combines with the previous medicinal tree; "able to eliminate the evils of all sentient beings" etc., combines with mixing with buttermilk, up to eliminating all diseases; evil of the mind is called "internal," and evil of the body and speech is called "external"—this explains eliminating evil. From "all those who have not yet generated the bodhimind" onward explains being able to generate goodness; there is no text for this in the parable, so it is discussed separately. From "Why?" onward combines with the previous king of medicines being supreme among all medicines: first combining, then matching.
