自下第三明一闡提詐小謗大。先明作惡，就中初明詐小謗大，「諸凡夫」下明凡不識，謂真羅漢是大菩薩。「是一闡」下廣顯其過，初明身過，「見他得」下明其心過，「作是言」下明其口過。上明作惡，「是人作」下明不即受，如乳成酪，如灰覆火，愚者輕蹈。

From here on, the third [part] explains that the icchantika feigns the Hīnayāna and slanders the Mahāyāna. First, it explains committing evil; therein, it first explains feigning the Hīnayāna and slandering the Mahāyāna; from "all ordinary people" onward explains that ordinary people do not recognize them, thinking that a true arhat is a great bodhisattva. From "this icchantika" onward broadly clarifies their faults: first explaining bodily faults; from "seeing others attain" onward explaining mental faults; from "making this statement" onward explaining vocal faults. Above, it explained committing evil; from "this person committing..." onward explains not immediately receiving, like milk turning into curds, and like ash covering fire on which the fool treads lightly.
