文別有三：一約乳喻明性無差、二約金喻明性無別、三於前義中有難解者重復明之。前中先喻，喻有四句：一三乘差別喻、二「是人後時為祀祠」下就相辯性喻、三「見其乳色同一白」下始見驚怪喻、四「是人思」下久思悟解喻。

The text has three distinct parts: first, clarifying the non-difference of nature in terms of the milk analogy; second, clarifying the non-difference of nature in terms of the gold analogy; third, clarifying once again what was difficult to understand within the preceding meaning. In the former, the analogy is presented first; the analogy has four lines: first, the analogy of the differences among the three vehicles; second, from "at a later time this person, for the sake of sacrifice" below, the analogy of elucidating the nature in terms of marks; third, from "seeing that the color of their milk was uniformly white" below, the analogy of being startled and astonished upon first seeing it; fourth, from "this person thought" below, the analogy of awakening to understanding after long deliberation.
