純陀答中，「不也」總答，下廣顯之。彼人設讀《大涅槃經》善亦不生，故言「假使天降甘雨亦不生」也。

In Cunda's reply, "No" is the overall answer, and below it is explained extensively. Even if that person reads the Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra, goodness still does not grow; therefore it says: "even if heaven rained sweet rain, it still would not grow."
