第二人中，先總標舉，下辯其相，句別有五：一明其人斷結多少，斷前三結加薄三毒；二明所得，得斯陀果，此名住薄，亦曰頻來；三得滅遠近，欲界人天一往一來便得涅槃；四「是名」下結；五趣大遠近。

Regarding the second person, it first generally designates [him], and below discriminates his characteristics, with five distinct clauses: First, clarifying the amount of fetters that person has severed: severing the previous three fetters and additionally attenuating the three poisons. Second, clarifying what is attained: attaining the fruit of a sakṛdāgāmin, which is called 'abiding in attenuation' and also 'once-returning.' Third, the temporal distance of attaining extinction: one going and one coming among humans and devas of the desire realm, after which he attains nirvāṇa. Fourth, from 'this is called' onward, concludes. Fifth, the temporal distance of heading toward the Great [Vehicle].
