5.114

自下第二會為摩男說色有樂。迦葉初先難前起後，「彼人不以一下生樂，以得脫故而生樂想」。下佛印之，即是會上。言「是故」者是得脫處而生樂，故昔告摩男五陰法中色陰有樂是實不虛，人天五陰得離三塗麁重之苦故樂不虛。前者略故，單云色陰；此中具故，五陰通論。

From here down is the second [section], reconciling what was said for Mahānāma, that form has pleasure. Kāśyapa first examines what precedes to introduce what follows: "That person does not generate pleasure because of the single stroke; he gives rise to the idea of pleasure because of obtaining release." Below, the Buddha confirms it, which is the reconciliation of what preceded. Saying "For this reason" means that pleasure arises where release is obtained; therefore, what was previously told to Mahānāma—that among the dharmas of the five aggregates, the form aggregate has pleasure—is true and not false. Because the five aggregates of humans and devas obtain freedom from the coarse, heavy suffering of the three wretched realms, their pleasure is not false. The former statement was abbreviated, so it spoke only of the form aggregate; here it is complete, so the five aggregates are discussed comprehensively.
