次觀道諦，於中初問、次辨、後結。辯中有二：一出道諦、二「迦葉白」下會通道諦。前中先喻，後約顯法。「因八聖道見一切法常、無常」等，見無常等合見麁物、見常法等合見細物。

Next is contemplating the truth of the path, within which there is first a question, next an analysis, and finally a conclusion. Within the analysis there are two parts: first, setting forth the truth of the path; second, harmonizing and comprehending the truth of the path from "Kāśyapa addressed [the Buddha]" onward. In the former, there is first a metaphor and then an explanation with reference to phenomena. "Due to the eightfold noble path seeing all dharmas as permanent, impermanent," and so forth: seeing impermanence and so forth corresponds to seeing coarse objects; seeing permanent dharmas and so forth corresponds to seeing subtle objects.
