明大乘中，文殊先問，「如佛所說大乘是實」牒佛前言，「當知聲聞緣覺不實」以理審問。下佛為辯，彰彼二乘亦實不實，先舉、後釋。

Regarding the explanation of the Mahāyāna, Mañjuśrī first asks: 'As the Buddha has spoken, the Mahāyāna is the real' takes up the Buddha's earlier words; 'one should know that the śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas are not real' inquires according to principle. Below, the Buddha discerns it for him, revealing that those two vehicles are also both real and not real, first presented and then explained.
