知義可解。就知時中，先問起發，次辯，後結。辯中六句，初止舉捨是其內觀方便之行，「任供佛」等是其隨緣造修之行，「如是時中任供佛師」是攝法行，「任修施」等是其依法造修之行。

"Knowing the meaning" is easy to understand. Within "knowing the proper time," it first questions to initiate [the topic], next analyzes it, and finally concludes. In the analysis there are six phrases: the initial "calming, grasping, and abandoning" are practices of expedient means for internal contemplation; "freely making offerings to the Buddha" and so forth are practices cultivated according to conditions; "in such times freely making offerings to the Buddha and masters" is the practice of gathering the Dharma; "freely cultivating giving" and so forth are practices cultivated in accord with the Dharma.
