The Buddha's answer has three parts: first, analogizing to answer the previous questions; second, from "The essence of this immeasurable mind is four" downward, answering the previous questions in general, which is also called the comprehensive answer; third, from "As you have said, loving-kindness severs anger..." downward, separately answering the previous questions. In the first part, it initially uses the non-fixed nature of preaching the Dharma to analogize the four immeasurables; from "Or there are sentient beings who are greedy for wealth and goods" downward, it uses the non-fixed nature of transforming people to analogize the four immeasurables. Within the non-fixed nature of preaching, "The Tathāgata's proclaiming the essentials of the Dharma for sentient beings is secret and difficult to know" generally indicates it, and below reveals it separately. In the separate explanation, it first clarifies that expanding and condensing are not fixed; from "The Tathāgata has great expedient means" downward, the characteristics of dharmas are not fixed.
