下次明其所成是大，文別有二：第一正明所成是大、二「先得世」下舉小顯大。前中，「菩薩住於初地名曰大慈」就處總指。下別顯之，言「何以故」徵前起後。

Next, it clarifies that what is accomplished is great. In the text there are two parts: first, directly clarifying that what is accomplished is great; second, from "previously having attained the worldly" onward, raising the small to reveal the great. In the former, "a bodhisattva abiding on the first ground is called great benevolence" refers generally to the position. Below, he demonstrates it specifically, saying "why is that?" to inquire into the preceding and raise the subsequent.
