「假使」已下自勉過也，有九復次，初七復次假喻勉過，「寧與毒」下有一復次以理誡勸，「如來真」下有一復次舉益翻損，真實為生斷除煩惱，云何為作煩惱因緣？

From "Even if..." onward is clearing himself of fault, containing nine sub-sections. The first seven sub-sections use hypothetical similes to clear himself of fault; from "Better to give poison..." onward is one sub-section that admonishes and encourages with reason; from "The Tathāgata truly..." onward is one sub-section that adduces benefit to overturn harm: he truly severs afflictions for sentient beings, so how could he act as a cause and condition of affliction for them?
