喻中亦二：一喻菩薩厭死捨生、二「是時二女復共相將至一貧」下喻明凡夫貪生愛死。前中復二：一喻菩薩觀行之始，厭死貪生；二「女人答言汝甚癡」下喻觀終成，生死俱棄。

Within the parable, there are also two [parts]: first, allegorizing the bodhisattva's loathing of death and renouncing of birth; second, from "At that time the two women together further went to a poor [family]" downward, allegorically explaining that ordinary people crave birth and love death. In the former, there are again two [parts]: first, allegorizing the beginning of the bodhisattva's contemplative practice, wherein he loathes death and craves birth; second, from "The woman answered, 'You are extremely foolish'" downward, allegorizing that when the contemplation is finally perfected, birth and death are both abandoned.
