6.303

第二微善感聖喻中，斷善根人過去善業名「家親屬」，發生現善故曰「遣使」，善生感聖名為「命醫」，善行不圓名「體缺短」，五根不備名「根不具」，煩惱覆障名「蒙塵土」，少於慚愧名「著壞衣」，依於過佛餘殘善法而起此善名「乘故車」，機顯聖心名為「語醫」，感聖不貰是以「言速」，欲令如來乘於昔法而往教化名「疾上車」。

In the second, the analogy of faint good moving the sage, the past wholesome karma of a person who has severed their good roots is called "the relatives of the family"; giving rise to present good is therefore said to "send a messenger"; the arising of good moving the sage is called "summoning the physician"; wholesome practice being incomplete is called "the body defective and short"; the five faculties being deficient is called "faculties incomplete"; being covered and obscured by defilements is called "covered in dust and dirt"; having little shame and conscience is called "wearing tattered garments"; relying on the remaining wholesome dharmas of past buddhas to give rise to this good is called "riding an old carriage"; the capacity manifesting to the sage's mind is called "addressing the physician"; moving the sage without delay is therefore "speaking with haste"; wishing to have the Tathāgata mount upon past dharmas and go to instruct and convert is called "promptly board the carriage."
