The above clarified the lack of ultimate joy and the repletion with all kinds of suffering. The latter six clarify oneself being deluded and confused, and inverted; therein, the first four generally establish the principles, while the latter two, against the principles, clarify oneself being deluded and confused. In the first four: "without performing actions, one does not receive retribution" clarifies that it is not without cause; "there is no such thing as myself acting and another receiving retribution" clarifies that it is not a disparate cause; "without creating causes of joy, one will ultimately have no fruit of joy" clarifies that it is not an inverted cause; "if one performs actions, their fruit will ultimately not be lost" clarifies that it is not without fruit. In the latter two: being born because of ignorance and dying because of it means that due to delusion regarding the former principles, one receives the fruits of saṃsāra; constantly practicing heedlessness in the past, future, and present means that due to delusion regarding the former principles, one creates the causes of saṃsāra. From "an ordinary person should always" onward, it generally concludes it.
