The former part contains four: first, clarifying that the four kinds of madmen committing evil incur no guilt; second, applying this as an analogy to the king; third, clarifying that the stupor of intoxication committing evil incurs no guilt; fourth, applying this as an analogy to the king. In the first section, it first mentions them, next lists them, and finally clarifies their lack of guilt. "Among my disciples, those with the four kinds of madness who commit evil—I never declare that such persons violate the precepts" directly clarifies lack of guilt. "What such persons do does not lead to the three evil destinies" cites the fruit to reveal the cause, establishing that the cause is without guilt. From "if they regain [sanity]" downward, it cites waking awareness to reveal madness, establishing that madness is without guilt. The remaining three can be known [accordingly].
