In the fourth section, "Just as that infant forms the notion of oxen and horses with respect to what are not oxen and horses, if there are sentient beings who, with respect to what is not the path, form the notion of the true path" brings up that which the transformation accommodates, citing both dharma and simile together. "The Tathāgata also speaks of what is not the path as the path" brings up the characteristics of the Buddha's transformation: the lesser is not the true path, yet he speaks of it as the path. From "within what is not the path, there is actually no..." onward clarifies the Buddha's intention in transforming: the lesser is actually not the path, but it can generate the great path; because of this subtle condition, the Buddha speaks of it as the path.
