6.72

第五約就二諦觀入以別四種，與《地經》中初總同矣。於此門中「了知世諦」名法無礙，「知第一義」名義無礙，「習毘伽羅生智之論」名辭無礙，「修餘世論」名樂說無礙。所謂習前隨字論等，以此門中攝法寬多久字乃窮，是故皆言「無量劫修」。

Fifth, distinguishing the four kinds with reference to contemplation and entry into the two truths; this is broadly identical with the beginning of the Daśabhūmika Sūtra. In this gate, "completely knowing conventional truth" is called unobstructed knowledge of dharmas; "knowing ultimate truth" is called unobstructed knowledge of meaning; "practicing treatises on Vyākaraṇa that generate wisdom" is called unobstructed knowledge of phrasing; "cultivating other worldly treatises" is called unobstructed knowledge of delightful discourse. This refers to practicing the aforementioned treatises on following syllables and the like; because the dharmas gathered within this gate are extensive and long-lasting, they can only be exhausted after many syllables, and therefore it is always said that they are "cultivated for immeasurable kalpas."
