文中先廣，「以是因緣佛不定」下總以結之。廣中，隨人要唯有三：一明凡夫不定、二明二乘不定、三明佛不定。文別有四：一明凡不定終得涅槃、二明諸佛涅槃法定彰彼凡夫當有所得、三明聲聞緣覺不定終得菩提、四明佛不定用而常寂彰彼二乘當有所得。

In the text, it first elaborates, and from "By this cause and condition the Buddha is indeterminate" onward, generally concludes it. In the elaboration, according to persons there are essentially only three: first, explaining that ordinary beings are indeterminate; second, explaining that the two vehicles are indeterminate; third, explaining that the Buddha is indeterminate. The text is divided into four: first, explaining that ordinary beings are indeterminate and ultimately attain nirvāṇa; second, explaining that the nirvāṇa attained by all Buddhas is a determinate dharma to make clear that those ordinary beings will have attainment in the future; third, explaining that śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas are indeterminate and ultimately attain bodhi; fourth, explaining that the Buddha is indeterminate, functioning while ever quiescent, to make clear that those of the two vehicles will have attainment in the future.
