上來第一明凡不定，自下第二明佛所得涅槃法定，「亦定」略舉，下重顯之。「云何為定」問其定義，「常樂我淨」對問辯之，「在何處耶」問其定體，「所謂涅槃」就法指斥。

The above is the first part, explaining that ordinary beings are indeterminate; from here below is the second, explaining that the nirvāṇa attained by the Buddha is a determinate dharma. "Also determinate" is briefly raised, and below it is clarified again. "How is it determinate?" asks about the meaning of determinacy; "Permanence, bliss, self, and purity" discriminates it in response to the question; "In what place is it?" asks about the determinate essence; "The so-called nirvāṇa" points directly to the dharma.
